A surprising gallery of the skies; a long dance in the open air, education “from the streets” for young adults in a challenged Europe! Talks, insights, films and unexpected views – in 2017, donumenta will reflect Regensburg as an exciting, urban place of art which is in a dialogue with its neighbouring countries along the Danube. Supported by the cultural department of the City of Regensburg, the Free State of Bavaria and further sponsors, the donumenta e.V. will realize its new international art project “14 x 14 + x: under construction“ between August and October 2017.

“14 x 14 + x: under construction“ by donumenta transfers the metaphor of “reconstruction” into the building activity in Regensburg. Through the interaction of large banners, nocturnal projections, mobile installations and interactive electronic settings the continuous new construction of the European Danube Region gets visible from an international artistic perspective in Regensburg. A European dance marathon, a specifically developed audience development program, films, exhibitions and talks with many partners from the city make “14 x 14 + x: under construction“ an art event everyone can look forward to.
