CINEMA SOMNIUM presents the trailer of a new sci-fi movie coming soon to theaters. The film is inspired by Johannes Kepler's science fiction novel Somnium (The Dream) and is starring the three SOMNIUM K satellites launched from various locations in Regensburg into the orbits of Haumea, Kepler 16b and its hypothetical exomoon. Their mission is to collect never-before-seen footage for the new movie.
The works CINEMA SOMNIUM and SATELLITE SOMNIUM explore the fascination of the unknown outerspace and the appetite for never-before seen images - a constant in our human society from early times to present. From myths and magic, to stories, films and science our world constantly produces dreams of another reality.
Three satellites in the form of minerals and metal crystals made of highly reflective materials are launched from Regensburg with the task of collecting and transmitting never-before-seen images for a new science fiction film inspired by Johannes Kepler's novel SOMNIUM (The Dream).
