Loránd Bögös: „Own Mill” (Am Beschlächt, Regensburg)

With his work “Own Mill”, the Hungarian artist Loránd Bögös creates an interactive mill structure in timber frame construction at the Beschlächt under the Stone Bridge. He references the multitude of mills that have existed throughout Regensburg’s history while simultaneously emphasising the aspect of personal effort versus water power. To set the counter-rotating propellers in motion, this piece requires the interaction of viewers. Since the 12th century, mills have primarily shaped the banks of the Upper and Lower Wöhrd.
