donumenta Artists in Residence with artworks in public spaces

Imagine the Danube flowing in the opposite direction or someone transporting you back to the time of Marc Aurels. The history of Regensburg, its connections and its role for Europe inspired the artists of the donumenta Artist in Residence program 2024 to create their works in public space - on display from 27 June to 30 September 2025.

WORLD HERITAGE REVISITED

New interventions by the donumenta AiR artists

Four artists, artists in residence of donumenta e.V., present their works in the public space of the UNESCO World Heritage City. Their approaches are sometimes political, sometimes historical and always poetic. With “Space Shifter” in the mobile donumenta ART LAB on the Move, donumenta e.V. has achieved self-sufficient power supply. Until July 26, Alexander Rosol’s artwork will be illuminated at the Aussiger Straße using electricity generated by a newly installed photovoltaic system.
